images (4)I guess it is safe to say that 99.9% of our population owns a pair of t-shirts. Who wouldn’t? It is no fuss, comfortable, easy to wear and it does the job perfectly. T-shirts are not just for commoners as even some of the most powerful men in the world wears this on a daily basis, Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg just to name a few.

From just being a plain colored garment, it evolved and has already become a part of our culture. It is now used by people to express themselves. Different companies now offer different styles and prints from which you can choose from. But if you do not have the money to buy one, you can always do one for yourself. Rocking a T-shirt with style doesn’t need to be expensive, here are some DIY tips you could try that will surely bring out that fashionista in you.

Create your own prints

If you are bored with those plainly colored shirts, then time to bring out the Picasso in you. Once you have decided on a design, you can try different techniques to transfer it on to your shirt such as silk screen printing, free hand painting, air brushing, and stenciling. If these techniques are not really your forte, then there are easier ways to create a design such as bleaching, stamping and iron-on wherein for the latter you just have to print a design from your computer, stamp or iron onto your shirt and presto – instant artwork.

Cut, Cut and away

Bring out those scissors and change the look of your shirt. You can cut parts and pieces of your shirt to create something different like cutting the sleeves to create a tank top or cutting off the top part to create that off shoulder look. You can even cut slits at the back and sides to give the world a slight glimpse of that sexy curves. You can also draw designs and then cut it off to create that 3D effect on your shirt.

Mix, match and accessorize

Have those old shirts lying around? Do not throw them away and put them back into good use again. Create a new shirt by combining these old ones. If you have those old laced shirt, cut a portion of it and sew this new portion onto another shirt. Create ribbons from your old floral shirt and set it as an accent for your new one. You can also add different things like beads, studs and even safety pins to accessorize your shirt and give them a new a life. Once done, the result would be astonishing.

The sky is the limit when it comes to designing your shirt. You just have to be creative and let your artistic side take over. Who knows you might be the next Donna Karan or Giorgio Armani.

Working With Fashion Bloggers for Product Promotion and Purchasing Decisions Is Smart

images (3)What better way than through bloggers to find out what consumers really want, and what they like or dislike about a product? Plus, aligning with a popular blogger can mean good exposure for a product, whether it’s clothing, accessories or makeup.

Bloggers are Hugely Influential

Word of mouth but amped up is a great way to describe bloggers. They have a far greater outreach and reach more people all at once than one friend or neighbour expressing their thoughts on to another. Plus, their market is the exact one in which product manufacturers want to reach!

Influential people could be anyone from the person next door to a famous celebrity. bloggers exist somewhere in that mix, but what most don’t realize is that the reach of a blogger is far greater than others, in fact up to 80% higher! Plus, many consumers feel a smaller community is more influential.

No matter the size of their community, the fact they are regarded as experts on these products is enough to make consumers step out and try them out more so than they would at the suggestion of a neighbour.

Demographics

It’s been found that the majority of bloggers are women, which is no surprise. A significant number are also mothers. This is great for those who are looking for real advice from family friendly bloggers. Let’s face it, there aren’t too many moms that can afford high. bloggers that know what styles are hot and then recommend on where to get them for less are extra important in the blogging community, according to studies.

Bloggers are Perfect for Product Research

Who better to test out a new product than a popular blogger? They help consumers learn more about a product they are considering buying, and a good review gives them the confidence necessary to make the investment. The internet is at everyone’s fingertips now, so it is the prime source for those wanting information to do the research.

Recent reports state that around 40% of shoppers are influenced by bloggers, and just a bit larger percentage purchase based off the retail site or store itself, so anyone can see the significance! Using blog posts for purchasing decisions is really no surprise when one thinks about it. Marketing companies are getting crafty, and why not use these popular faces and opinions to promote their products?

Are They Paid to Promote?

The answer here is yes and no. Some bloggers are paid to promote, but in most cases the more popular are not. They certainly receive the products for free to try out and promote. Some companies may tell them only to blog if they enjoy the product.

Many PR and outreach teams promote earned media which is free coverage via promotion instead of advertising. This means they (the blogger) won’t get paid sponsor fees or post fees. It’s a more honest approach.

Giveaways

Giveaways are another benefit to following a blogger. Not only do they give real advice, they sometimes are given products to hold a prize/giveaway or sample promotion to their followers. This gives them a “first look” and opportunity to try out the same thing that their favourite blogger is.

There are plenty of reasons to hire or follow a blogger for the final in real advice and opinions on the latest products offered.

Why Silk Sarees Are the Most Expensive in the World

images (5)The Wonder of Indian Silk
Today, pure silk is still the most adored, revered and precious fabric in the world, owing to its natural sheen and lustre. Like gold, pure silk enjoys its status symbol, defining luxury, class, tradition and sophistication with clothing. It is easily woven, blended, dyed and embroidered, making it ideal for designing Indian clothes, especially the magnificent saree. It is no wonder that India manufactures so much silk, and it is also the world’s biggest consumer of silk!

Although modern sarees come in many varieties, the most exclusive ones in the world are still fabricated out of silk. Each saree is a work of art that is treasured for lifetime and sometimes handed down by the generations.

Wedding Sarees – for tradition
Even the modern bride wants to be enveloped in tradition on her big day. Benarasis or kanjeevarams are the best choice for wedding and festive occasions as they are crafted out of the purest silk, embellished with heavy golden zari work.

Handloom Sarees – for grace
Saree-lovers find the graceful, classy handloom sarees made of silk perfect to wear at festivals and family gatherings. These are steeped in tradition, and they represent an industry that has clothed women and men for centuries, even before clothes were fashionable. Although modern handloom sarees are trendsetters, the ancient weaving techniques and the designs remain the same. Thus, India has an endless variety of handspun yarn with a variety of texture, colour and feel.

Modern Sarees – affordable fashion
Modern Indian women want to look fashionable yet traditional, so the modern silk fabrics have reduced the craze for pure silk fabric. These have recently become the hottest selling fabrics on the Internet since they are easy to maintain and they cost less. Art silk sarees may be synthetic but they emulate the real thing quite well! They can also be easily embroidered, dyed and cared for. Silk cotton varieties like chanderi sarees and kora silk are lightweight and are also popular.

Designer Sarees – for glam
Designer silk sarees are sometimes expensive and are worn at important occasions like weddings or red-carpet events. But if you wish to flaunt your class, you will have to choose the saree with right fabric and not the most expensive one. A silk saree itself speaks style and eloquence irrespective of the embroidery. Grab the opportunity to drape yourself in a charismatic silk saree by procuring one from the online stores offering exquisite and royal collection.
